HRI for H.R.1 (Herndon-Reston Indivisible for House Resolution 1)
What: We will be participate in Indivisible’s DAY OF ACTION on January 3rd by visiting our Members of Congress (MOC) in DC.
H.R. 1 Strengthening Our Democracy:

When: January 3rd, 10:00 AM at Wiehle Metro or at our Capitol Meetup Spot (11:00 AM)
Where: Washington DC Capitol Area (Congressional Office buildings and outside campus)
Purpose: The first major legislative effort in our Democratically-controlled House is for democracy reform effort (H.R. 1). This legislation is expected to strengthen everyone’s right to vote and to have their vote count, to stem the tide of big money in politics, and to root out corruption at all levels of government—including the White House. We support this bill and want it to pass, and to pass without being watered down. Our purpose is to let our MOCs know that we are behind the bill!
Details: We will meet at Whiele Station at 10:00 to arrive at the base of the Capitol (in front of the Pool) facing the Mall at 11:00 AM. We will walk around the Capitol Campus, stopping at Senate and House Office buildings to visit with our Members of Congress. We will also be carrying our letters letting everyone know that we must DEFEND DEMOCRACY.
