WELCOME BACK the 2020 General Assembly

Second Annual Welcome Back Celebration!
Join us on Wednesday, January 8, 2020 as we welcome the General Assembly back on the first day of the 2020 session. We’ll start with a pep rally, then some will attend session, and end the day with a Party for Parity. We’re still working out details, so please check back for updates.
Agenda
10:30-11:30 Pep Rally in front of the Capitol Building
Please start the day by coming to cheer on Virginia’s lawmakers as they cross the street from their administrative offices to head to their caucus meetings at the Virginia Capitol.
12:00 Session begins
Attend session in the Chamber or watch it from one of the overflow rooms (where you can eat and talk). You can bring thank you notes to drop off to your legislators. For those of you who can’t attend in person, we’ll post the link here so you can watch online.
2:00-4:00 Party for Parity
Join us to celebrate at our Party for Parity. Relax and mingle with other ERA advocates. Light snacks provided. Location is TBD.
Transportation
We are arranging buses from the following locations in Virginia. Alexandria, Arlington, Charlottesville, Chesapeake, Christiansburg, Fredericksburg, Lynchburg, Norfolk, Petersburg, Roanoke, Suffolk, Virginia Beach, and Williamsburg.
