CD08 Inside Poll Observer

Help us protect the Vote during the 2026 CD-8 Primary Election!

Sign up to act as an inside poll observer (Authorized Representative under Virginia Law) on the August 4th CD-8 Primary Election Day. For experienced poll observers, there is also an option to sign up as a “Rover” which would require you to go to different precincts based on some need or just to ensure that things are proceeding smoothly. There are five (5) Rover slots.

Legal experience is preferred, but not required to serve as a poll observer. Your tasks will be to observe the voting process, make sure the law is being followed, ensure voters can cast their ballot, and report any problems.

Before your poll observation shift you must complete training. Attend by Zoom a live online training on July 28th at 7 pm provided by the Fairfax County Democrats’ Election Law and Voter Protection Committee by registering with this link:

After training, review the training materials, confirm you have received your authorized representative form, and show up on time for your shift!
