2021 Virtual Mother’s Day Climate Rally!

May 8, 2021 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm

Saturday, May 8th from 2pm-3pm
2021 Virtual Mother’s Day Climate Rally!
Join us for the 5th Annual Mother’s Day Climate Rally — the virtual edition. We’re rallying for the planet, clean energy, a healthy climate, and a healthy future. Mother’s Day was originally a day of political activism, so we’re returning to those activist roots. We are determined to protect the climate for our children, our children’s children, and all future generations.
After you RSVP, you’ll receive an email with instructions for joining the event online closer to the date!
We have an incredible lineup of speakers:
WENONAH HAUTER, Founder and Executive Director of Food & Water Watch. Wenonah has three decades of experience campaigning and writing on food, water, energy, and environmental issues.
BILL MCKIBBEN, author of over a dozen books, educator, environmentalist and founder of 350.org. His 1989 book “The End of Nature” is regarded as the first book for a general audience about climate change and has appeared in 24 languages.
HARRIET SHUGARMAN, author of “How to Talk to Your Kids About Climate Change: Turning Angst into Action.” She is also the Executive Director of ClimateMama and a professor of Global Climate Change Policy and World Sustainability.
JEROME FOSTER II, 18-years-old activist that serves at the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council, works as Executive Director of OneMillionOfUs, and studies Computer Science in New York City.
FINN FISK, co-hub coordinator of Sunrise Richmond and is a leader for Sunrise Virginial. Works as a paralegal at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society. Incoming MS Student in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in the fall of 2021.
