Yikes! It seems like a long way away. But there are only 112 more days left until Nov. 7, when Virginia chooses its new governor, lieutenant governor, attorney general, and scores of local candidates to the state’s General Assembly.
Time to talk up our Indivisible agenda (electing candidates that actually represent us), make some calls, and knock some doors. In addition, one of the most effective things you can do is to select three of your neighbors, co-workers, or family, who usually don’t vote during non-presidential years. They forget, they think it’s not important, maybe they are even already registered but just don’t think about it.
Now is the time to invite them for dinner, meet them at Panera’s for coffee, chat them up after church; just to keep reminding them of the importance of this election.
Put this on your calendar, select three friends, and make sure they will get to the polls in November.
