At Virginia Democrats’ annual Jefferson-Jackson dinner, held at the Richmond Marriott, Northam and Perriello urged common cause in November to defeat GOP nominee Ed Gillespie, who on Tuesday edged Corey Stewart, chairman of the Prince William Board of County Supervisors, for the Republican nomination. “It is great to be part of a genuinely inclusive, progressive and fully united Virginia Democratic Party,” Perriello told a crowd of 900 cheering Democratic activists and officeholders. “I am honored to be here to not just fully endorse, but introduce the next governor of Virginia, Dr. Ralph Northam.” Click and read more.
