SUMMARY:ICE Out For Good Fairfax\, VA
DESCRIPTION:Wednesday\, January 7th\, an American citizen was killed by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) in Minneapolis\, Minnesota. This killing is part of a broader pattern of unchecked violence\, impunity\, and abuse carried out by federal immigration enforcement agencies against members of our communities. There have been 33 ICE related deaths in 2025 and 8 to date in 2026. Come help us honor/remember those who have lost their lives. Come help us tell Fairfax County- Police\, Sheriff’s department\, Board\, the Judges\, Board of Supervisors and anyone else who sees us that we want there to be no cooperation with ICE. That we are watching\, that we want them to be proactive in protecting Immigrants and Citizens. We want ICE OUT. We (Defend Democracy Indivisible NOVA) will have signs honoring the victims & messages we want our representatives to see and hear. You can make your own or borrow one. We will stand on sidewalks across from the entrance to the court. This event will be on the 4th Wednesday of every month. Thank you and please read the important safety message below. A core principle behind all ICE Out For Good events is a commitment to nonviolent action and no civil disobedience. We expect all participants to seek to de-escalate any potential confrontation with those who disagree with our values\, and to act lawfully at these events. Weapons of any kind\, including those legally permitted\, should not be brought to events. All events should be held in public spaces or on public property.
