SUMMARY:Herndon Town Council Hearing (Gun Ban Ordinance)
DESCRIPTION:Please attend the Herndon Town Council Hearing on Tuesday\, September 28th\, at 7:00 PM in the Herndon Council Chambers Building located at 765 Lynn Street\, Herndon to show you support for the local ordinance banning guns from town property. The purpose of this Hearing is to discuss the ordinance.\nPlease attend the Hearing and voice your support. The Town Council needs to hear from the people that live\, work\, visit or do business in Herndon.\nIndividuals may submit comments to town.clerk@herndon-va.gov\n\nDetails of the ordinance are HERE. In summary\, the ordinance would prohibit open carry in government buildings\, in parks\, and at town sponsored events. This is a less restrictive measure than a similar ordinance that was passed in Fairfax County (which restricts open and concealed carry in these places) and in Loudoun County (where concealed carry is restricted in government buildings).
