We’re rallying for the planet\, clean energy\, a healthy climate\, and a healthy future. Mother’s Day was originally a day of political activism\, so we’re returning to those activist roots. Wenonah has three decades of experience campaigning and writing on food\, water\, energy\, and environmental issues.\nBILL MCKIBBEN\, author of over a dozen books\, educator\, environmentalist and founder of 350.org. His 1989 book “The End of Nature” is regarded as the first book for a general audience about climate change and has appeared in 24 languages.\nHARRIET SHUGARMAN\, author of “How to Talk to Your Kids About Climate Change: Turning Angst into Action.” She is also the Executive Director of ClimateMama and a professor of Global Climate Change Policy and World Sustainability.\nJEROME FOSTER II\, 18-years-old activist that serves at the White House Environmental Justice Advisory Council\, works as Executive Director of OneMillionOfUs\, and studies Computer Science in New York City.\nFINN FISK\, co-hub coordinator of Sunrise Richmond and is a leader for Sunrise Virginial. Works as a paralegal at Central Virginia Legal Aid Society. Incoming MS Student in Socio-Ecological Economics and Policy at the Vienna University of Economics and Business in the fall of 2021.\nNew Mother’s Day Proclamation by an organizational leader\nMusic by SUN-SiNG Collective\nA children’s story time will round out the program.
