DESCRIPTION:Demonstrators bringing signs and practicing social distancing will gather at the Police Headquarters in Fairfax. They are part of Showing up for Racial Justice (SURJ)\, an organization dedicated to organizing white folks to show up and fight the root causes of racism. The demonstration is to show that George Floyd’s and Breonna Taylor’s murderers were not just rogue cops\, but they represent underlying conditions of racist policing that manifest here in northern Virginia as well. \nPlease bring signs that read #EndWhiteSilence and/or #BlackLivesMatter. \nSocial distancing will be observed. Please wear a mask. \nThere will be designated police and press liaisons. Please do not speak to the police or press.
