DESCRIPTION:Join us for the 4th annual Mother’s Day Climate Rally — the virtual edition. We’re rallying for the planet\, clean energy\, a healthy climate\, and a healthy future. Mother’s Day was originally a day of political activism\, and so we are returning to those activist roots. We are determined to protect the climate for our children\, our children’s children\, and all future generations.\nAfter you RSVP\, you’ll receive an email with instructions for joining the event online!\nWe have an incredible lineup of speakers: WENONAH HAUTER\, Founder and Executive Director of Food & Water Action. Wenonah has three decades of experience campaigning and writing on food\, water\, energy and environmental issues.\nBILL MCKIBBEN\, author of over a dozen books\, educator\, environmentalist and founder of 350.org. His 1989 book “The End of Nature” is regarded as the first book for a general audience about climate change and has appeared in 24 languages.\nYouth activist ALEXANDRIA VILLASEÑOR and her mother KRISTIN HOGUE. Alexandria is a 14-year-old climate activist and the founder of Earth Uprising. Alexandria began striking for climate in front of United Nations Headquarters on in 2018 and has been on strike ever since.
